Insomniac Games has just given the word that Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will arrive on the PSN for the PlayStation Vita as early as next week. The game will include Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked HD as a bonus for players who buy the game.

Players with a retail copy of the PS3 version of the game will be able to download Deadlocked HD as well as the Vita version to the PS3 It will be possible to transfer to vita through the "Disc Benefits" option that shows up on the menu.

Additionally, a new update for the game includes a new competitive map, which adds the Molonoth Fields area from A Crack in Time, and a new competitive game mode (seen in the video below).

The new game mode contains 2v2 Full Frontal Assault mode that's designed specifically for "hardcore players" and eliminates the phases so players can always capture nodes, build units, and attack the other team's base at any given point without having time to prepare. In other words, it's an all out killing spree.

Finally, Insomniac Games has put on sale new character skins for $1.99 each, with plans to release packs for A Crack in Time and All 4 One.

Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, a tower defense game, will be out for the PS Vita on May 21.
