Razer understands that the fighting game community is pretty particular about its equipment. In order to understand exactly what the top dogs are looking for, it’s best to go right to the source for some solid advice. This peripheral company knows its way around mice, laptops, and keyboards, and thanks to the help of a few pro gamers, it’s now brought its expertise to joysticks via the Razer Atrox Arcade Stick.
The device, which was constructed with modders and tournament gamers in mind, has just exited an extensive beta program and is now available for the Xbox 360. Although the more casual player may appreciate the gear’s slick design and comfortable grip, the ability to open the platform at the touch of a button will allow the more core fighting game fans to easily customize the stick to their liking.
“Following a huge beta testing program, we’re confident that we’ve built an arcade stick enthusiasts will love,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director. “We know that the Fighting Game Community is huge on modding their arcade sticks, and that is why we made the Razer Atrox extremely mod friendly. We are excited to see what extreme mods the Razer Atrox will be the base for.”
Digging deeper, slots that can be used to to store an included alternate bat top joystick can be found, as well as a detachable cable and screwdriver for modding. It’s a big package, and will be shipping for $199.99. If you're interested, look to place your pre-order on the Atrox Arcade Stick May 21.
