As we reported previously, the next game in the Battlefield series, Battlefield 4, is set to see the return of the Commander Mode, which went missing in the Battlefield: Bad Company series of games and was unceremoniously removed from Battlefield 3.
Today, an internal promotional poster from EB Games Australia surfaced to reveal a number of new features that have yet to be officially announced, including Commander, Battlefield 4 Premium, and the previously teased Battlelog 2.0.
The artwork in the poster depicts a high-resolution render of the game's protagonist, played by English actor Gideon Emery. It's unknown whether Emery is rendered in the game's powerful Frostbite 3 engine or whether it's an actual photograph—we honestly can't tell the difference.
Here's what the teaser text reads:
Armchair general: Rank up into the seat of the brand new Commander mode and lead your team to victory.
Battlelog 2.0: The next version of the state of the art gaming portal. Track every shot, every opponent, every detail of your online Battlefield career.
Go Premium: Stand out on the battlefield with exclusive uniforms, weapons, and more. Get exclusive expansions, starting with Drone Strike (TBA).”
Thrill Ride: Thrilling singleplayer campaign takes you all over the world as part of an elite squad of soldiers.
The bottom of the poster contains logos for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Curiously, the logo for the PC and PS4 are mysteriously absent despite the fact that the game has been confirmed by EA and DICE to be getting a next-gen platform release.
The poster was sent anonymously to BF4Central.
