Days Gone Has Hours Of Cinematics

Jan 15, 2018 Jordan Coetsee

What exactly the cinematics are for, we don't know.

While development of the PS4 exclusive zombie title, Days Gone has been pretty quiet since the e3 reveal last year, it doesn’t mean that the team hasn’t been chugging on at creating this exciting title. Community content manager for Star Citizen Jared Huckaby recently revealed on the first Reverse the Verse stream that he spoke to Sam Witwer. Witwer plays Deacon St. John, the protagonist of Days Gone, and he told Huckaby that there’s a “whole bunch of hours” of cinematics in Days Gone.

Unfortunately, the purpose of the cinematics, whether it’s there to progress the story, introduce weaponry or teach players how to play hasn’t been specified. (I mean, hours of cinematics could just mean that we have loads of videos showing off zombie variations). But it’s still a good sign to hear something out of the game’s development.

Other details regarding this exclusive is pretty vague as of right now, but judging from the most recent video, it seems like it’s going to place quite the emphasis on non-linear progression, check it out below.

Days Gone currently doesn’t have a release date but we expect to hear more about it in 2018. Excited? Let us know in the comments below.
