In addition to stating that the Wii U will not getting a price cut, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, during in a recent investor briefing, stated his company's intention in helping Eastern game developers bring their 3DS offerings to the west.
How so? According to Tiny Cartridge, Nintendo will lend a hand with the part that's perhaps the most difficult for any game maker, regardless of location, and that's distribution.
The company will help distribute titles overseas, in a way that's similar to what they do already for Level-5 as far as their Professor Layton games are concerned.
This is no doubt great news to many 3DS fans that have been frustrated with the system's region lockout. One perk that all handheld aficionados have long enjoyed has been enjoying games, regardless of their nation of origin. Which all changed with Nintendo's latest handheld platform.
Hopefully this means certain titles that everyone has been gazing at, from afar, might soon be playable at long last. Like Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, for example.
