While Guerilla hasn't exactly been forthcoming with info regarding Killzone: Mercenary, we now know a few more details about the franchise's first PS Vita outing.
Courtesy of Polish magazine PSX Extreme who has a massive feature on Killzone: Mercenary, here are the details uncovered so far (via NeoGAF):
- Engine is nearly 1:1 from PS3 version
- They added a few new gimmicks to the engine, so they can utilize more PS Vita
- Game is gorgeous, clear and crispy textures, big draw distances
- Character models are awesome, the same with animation
- Stable FPS even with gigantic action inside levels
- Literally – game is like portable Killzone 3, looking better than Uncharted.
Before you say it, yes, I know the info isn't much to go on, but it seems Sony is ready to lift the lid on the game within the week (or next). In a forum post over on the Official EU PlayStation Blog, Fred Dutton, SCEE community manager states, "we'll be talking more about KZ:M next week, so I'll leave you hanging for now." Now, since his post was dated on January 26, I'm not sure if "next week" means the week we're in now or next week. Regardless, it looks like Killzone and PS Vita fans have something to look forward to in the coming days.
