The Fallout franchise certainly doesn’t need much of a build up with the series already carrying a strong following. However, the hype behind any new announcement or tease can quickly find itself spread all across the internet to be dissected for potential information.
For die-hard fans of the series, you may be delighted to know that a new installment may be in the works by development studio, Obsidian Entertainment. The developers are no strangers to delivering fantastic RPG titles with such works as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords, Neverwinter Nights 2, Pillars of Eternity, and Tyranny.
Likewise, the development studio is no stranger when it comes to Fallout as the studio developed Fallout: New Vegas back in 2010, an instant hit with fans of the long-running franchise. News and rumors quickly sparked online and continue to spread due to one simple image posted by a founder of the development studio.
Chris Avellone may have teased a new production or accidentally sparked a false rumor after he posted a new image on his personal Facebook account. The image is a stick figure hugging the iconic Vault Boy with a statement of “I’ve missed you this much” written above and that’s exactly what’s causing an online frenzy.
Could this be a simple image posted by Chris Avellone that was blown out of proportion, will we be getting a new title announcement from his development studio, Obsidian Entertainment, or could we possibly see a new comic book series written by Chris Avellone like his past series, Fallout: New Vegas All Roads?
There’s currently no statements released just yet to either die down the hype or confirm what fans all around the world are hoping for, a new release under Obsidian Entertainment. Regardless, for now, we’ll simply have to wait and see what, if anything comes of this image post.
