Much has been said about Sony's PlayStation Network and much of it has not been so kind. Sure Sony loyalists will tell you how awesome PlayStation Plus is, but even after all these years, it has yet to match Microsoft's Xbox Live on a number of levels (and many of the core services that everyone uses PSN for, i.e. watching Netflix, doesn't even require paying for Plus to being with).
Still, even the harshest of critics cannot deny how Sony is trying their best to make the PSN experience more enjoyable, convenient, and most important of all, safe. And one recent addition, which VG24/7 just noticed, is sure to delight many: you can now use PayPal to purchases PS3, PSP, or PSVita content.
Connecting one's PSN and PayPal accounts is a relatively simple affair. Simply long into the recently launched Sony Entertainment Network site and select Account Management. From there, choose Wallet in the left bar and simply click the Add Funds To Wallet button. PayPal comes up as a brand new payment method.
Unfortunately, it would appear that one cannot add PayPal via one’s console or handheld at the moment. Perhaps a future update might fix that. Anyhow, many enjoy PayPal due to its stringent security measures, and given how the PSN seems to constantly have issues with outside elements, it's perhaps the ideal payment choice for those who are particularly careful.
