Free to play MMO RTS battle arena title DOTA 2, the mod-turned-game as yet to be released in its entirety, boasts one hell of a roster, spanning a whopping 96 different characters to choose from. In order to encourage players to make the most of this impressive cast list, the latest update now includes a mode that forces players to go out of their comfort zones. Entitled "Least Played", the mode will make it so only the twenty least played characters can be chosen from when entering a battle. The rule is enforced on all sides, ensuring the opponent must use the characters they're least skilled in, as well.
In a post announcing the update, the DOTA 2 also notes that they recently saw their 100,000,000th game played, with over 3 million unique players a month contributing to the numbers. While the game still has no release date on the horizon, it is in the envious position of already being a success. To get early access to DOTA 2 before its official arrival, head over to Steam where you can plunk down $30 for the privilege.
