Could PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds be receiving a solo campaign? According to the game’s creator-in-chief, Brendan Greene this could be very likely – but it’s not the focus right now.
During a recent AMA on Reddit, Brendan Greene revealed some interesting thoughts and upcoming plans on the game’s progression, additions, and his desire to see single-player in the game at some point.
“I would love to add a single player campaign to the game,” Greene told fans when discussing potential features he’d like to see make it into the game.
“I think the island we have could be a great location for an interesting story, but unfortunately we just don’t have the time or the resources for this at the moment!”
Brendan later solidified his thoughts via Twitter on the solo campaign mode in order to prevent speculation – we won’t be seeing one anytime soon, especially considering the huge amount of work the studio has to get through (like the introduction of a new desert map).
