Remember Operation Rainfall? It was the fan driven initiative to bring three JRPGs to North America: Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, and Pandora's Tower.
What was initially written off as a lost cause by many, since such efforts rarely succeed unfortunately, was effective in bringing over the first two games to the west during the latter half of last year.
And as 2013 rolled around, plus with the Wii taking a backseat to the Wii U, many assumed that the third and final game would never make it out here. Those who had been looking forward were bummed by this unfortunate fact, yet were happy to have Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story in the first place.
But just announced by XSEED Games is upcoming release of Pandora's Tower in North America. According to Shinichi Suzuki, President and CEO of XSEED, in the press release that was sent out just a few hours ago:
"It’s fantastic to be bringing such a highly-anticipated title like Pandora’s Tower to such a vocal fan base… North American gamers have been very patient in waiting for this game to be released, and we’re confident they will be pleased when they get their hands on the title."
No word yet on an exact release date, just that it’s due for arrival sometime in the spring.
