Konami has finally announced the demo date for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for the PSN and Xbox LIVE. So sharpen your swords, samurai warriors, Revengeance's demo will hit on January 22 and will, of course, be free.
The demo will take place during the first chapter of the game and will give players an introduction to Raiden.
In addition to the demo date, Konami has also released a new video showing "Jack the Ripper." I doubt Raiden is portrayed as London's infamous serial killer, but rather, it's a play on Raiden's real name, which is Jack, and him being a "Ripper" since he, y'know, rips people to shreds using his sword.
Clocking in at a hefty seven-minutes, the trailer might be deemed spoilerish by some. If you want to avoid any of the cut-scenes, jump to about four-minutes in just to see the gameplay. Near the end, we even see Raiden go chop a mech to bits.
For those already dead-set on buying the game, you'll be glad to know Konami is giving you the chance to play as Cyborg Ninja and Metal Gear Solid 4's Raiden. While they're just skins, the Cyborg Ninja one should bring back a wave of nostalgia to MGS fans.
Developed by Platinum Games with Kojima Productions, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will hit the PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 19.
Anyone excited to try this out or will DmC be enough to fill in your hack-and-slash thirst?
