We've received some follow-up details to yesterday's big reveal of Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, which is set for release on the Nintendo 3DS this October.
Towards the end of the trailer yesterday, you may have noticed two new Pokemon, which at the time remained a mystery to viewers and fans of the long-running series alike. Today, we were given official word that the two unique pocket monsters are Legendary Pokemon whose names are Xerneas and Yveltal.
The phonetic spelling and pronunciation are as follows:
Xerneas: ZURR-nee-us
Yveltal: ee-VELL-tall
Xerneas
Yveltal
Pokemon X and Pokemon Y are the first games in the Pokémon series designed exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS, and are set to feature 3D graphics along with support for the handheld's three-dimensional features.
In addition to a host of all new creatures, players will be able to see some of their old favorites in 3D for the first time ever when the characters battle each other as fully realized 3D characters.
The games are set for a worldwide release, so players will be able to enjoy the game on day one regardless of whether they're located in Japan, North America, or Europe.
