Studio Ghibli and Level 5's upcoming role-playing game Ni No Kuni has been delayed by a week. Originally slated for a late January release on the PS3, the game has been pushed back to February 1 due to logistics problems encountered by the publisher in releasing the game on time.
The UK rep for Namco Bandai apologized to customers via Twitter and stated that all players would be getting a free Draggle familiar, for use in the game, as a consolation for the slight delay.
"Sadly this is an issue we no longer have control over," Namco Bandai UK said. "Our apologies."
It's unknown whether the game will also be delayed in the United States and elsewhere, but as there hasn't been any announcement regarding it, it's safe to assume that it'll be out on time everywhere else. With any luck, the rest of us will be able to get the Draggle familiar, too.
"It was a difficult decision to take as our options were limited, we are sorry for the delay."
Don't sweat it, guys.
Thanks Eurogamer.
