The God of War franchise has a massive following with the video game first starting out on the PlayStation 2. Now, years later, the video game reboot will see a launch on the PlayStation 4 sometime next year. Even though Sony has yet to officially state just when gamers can expect to pick a copy of the video game up at their local market or digitally from the official PlayStation Store, a retailer may have jumped the gun a bit.
Thanks to a report made by Gamerant, we’re finding out that Amazon may have alerted gamers around the world that God of War on the PlayStation 4 may be launching on June 30, 2018. Alongside this supposed release date leak, the retailer also unveiled the God of War Digital Deluxe Edition of the video game and the contents that come with this edition.
Apparently, the God of War Digital Deluxe Edition of the video game will retail for $69.99 in which players will receive the following contents from their purchase alongside the game.
- God of War Digital Soundtrack
- God of War Digital Art Book
- God of War PS4 Dynamic Theme
- Exile’s Guardian Shield Skin
- God of War Digital Comic – Issue 0
- Death’s Vow Armor Set for Kratos
- Death’s Vow Armor Set for Atreus
So far, there’s been no word on the post and Amazon has since removed the edition from their listing, though the release date still remains. The edition certainly seems plausible and doesn’t sound farfetched to what Sony could offer for this game.
As for the release date, we’ve seen leaks like this countless times in the past. What the release date could be is simply a placeholder until an official release date is announced for the video game.
Seeing as to what the Digital Deluxe Edition of the God of War video game offers, would you be a buyer at $69.99?
