Destiny 2 PC Will Feature An Integrated FPS Counter

August 11, 2017 by Jordan Coetsee

Players will also be able to specify a frame rate upper-limit.

With the upcoming launch of Bungie’s MMO shooter, Destiny 2, the developers are slowly letting more news out regarding what the full version of the game will encompass. Yesterday Bungie announced that the PC version of Destiny 2 will have an integrated FPS Counter so that players can see just how well their hardware is matching up to the titles requirements.

Also, during a Q&A on the post, it was also revealed that “Destiny 2 on PC will include the ability to specify a frame rate upper-limit (via a config file),” for those who are really looking to tailor their experience on PC.

Security has long been an issue Bungie has been focused on clamping down on, this is what the team had to say about potential hackers:

“The methods that some third-party applications use to add features (inserting code into the game client) are the same as some of the methods hackers and cheaters use to disrupt the experience of other players.”

“As a part of our security efforts, we have designed Destiny 2 for PC to resist all attempts from external applications to insert code into the game client. It is a high priority for us to ensure that Destiny 2 is a safe and fair experience for all players, on all platforms.”

On top of this, we also know that “this will apply to both the Destiny 2 PC Beta and full Destiny 2 PC release on October 24,”

The Beta for Destiny 2 starts August 28.
