PlayerUnkown’s Battlegrounds recently revealed that cosmetic microtransactions will be featured in the game – but the Bluehole studios didn’t announce just how expensive the items would be, and considering cosmetics don’t even affect your gameplay it’s absolutely madness to be charging $120.00 dollars for in-game shoes – and that’s not even the gist of it. Players can buy hot pants for $265, a bandana for over $300, a mini-skirt for $420 or a set of costumes for a whopping $886.
Granted those are the most expensive items on the purchase page, more modest users will be able to buy other various cosmetic items such as white shirt, sneakers, gas masks, padded jackets all for under $1, but that still shouldn’t detract from the fact that there exist people out there who are willing to drop nearly a grand on a costume set which doesn’t even affect gameplay.
