Naughty Dog unleashed a brand-new trailer for The Last of Us at this year's Video Game Awards show.
Not only do we see new gameplay footage showcasing Joel and Ellie, we even get to see the "zombies" in the game, too! Watch as Joel fights not only the humans who are after them, but for the first time, the "other" type of enemies get what's coming to them as well.

While the actual gameplay shown was impressive enough, Naughty Dog also had a little surprise at the end with the announcement of The Last of Us' release date, which is now set at May 7. 2013! So plan those gaming purchases accordingly.
Interestingly enough, most of Naughty Dog's "big" game releases are normally set for a fall release. So, either Sony has a bigger game scheduled for 2013's fall or they might be revealing something a little grander than what Naughty Dog has in store — and yes, I'm referring to Sony might be announcing or releasing the PS4 later next year. If so, that would explain a ton on why The Last of Us is scheduled for May instead of October or November, no?
