While 2012 might be nearing its end, publishers aren't going easy on the hype train yet. Aside from the promised reveals at this evening's VGAs, Square Enix has joined the act by opening a teaser site for an unnamed game.
As of the moment, all it shows are the date and time when the countdown will end, along with Square Enix's Twitter Japanese Twitter feed in the middle. Oh, and there's the words "Star" and "Divide" on the right side of the page along with what seems to be a shot of Earth, a neighboring planet and what looks like the sun.
Even if Square Enix isn't ready to divulge details, it seems Siliconera might have uncovered just what the name of this mystery game will be. Seeing the words "Star" on the page and "liftoff" in the URL, coupled with the fact that Square Enix filed a trademark for the title "Star Galaxy," chances are this is the game they're set to unveil in four days.
So, just what is Star Galaxy? We don't know for sure, but seeing as Square Enix owns the "Star Ocean" franchise, there is a possiblity Star Galaxy is a new game based on the RPG. Now, before old-school RPG fans jump for joy, keep in mind that even if this is for Star Galaxy and it's part of the Star Ocean franchise, there's also the chance that it could be an iOS game or something similar. So don't assume it will be a new entry in the Star Ocean RPG franchise for consoles just yet, alright?
Would you want a new game in the Star Ocean franchise or should Square Enix concentrate more on their other big RPGs first? Speculate away in the comments.
