Now that the Video Game Awards (VGAs) are about a week away from happening, publishers are now releasing teasers for their game's trailers that will air during the awards show. Yep, it's a teaser for the actual trailer for an upcoming game. I'm not sure if I should be happy or sad that people really do this nowadays.
First off the bat is Konami and Mercury Steam with a teaser trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. While it doesn't show even a second of gameplay, it does, however, pay homage to one of the franchise's best games in history. I'm, of course, talking about Symphony of the Night.
Remember that cringe-worthy line about "what's a man, but a miserable pile of secrets?" Yep, it's there…and sadly, that's all there is to it. The on muttering that line in the trailer is Gabriel himself and he's not his usual "jolly" self if you know what I mean.
This year's VGAs will air on Friday, December 7 at 8 p.m. Central Time on Spike TV. For those who prefer watching it on your desktop or those no in the U.S., you can watch it on GameTrailers where I'm sure they'll once again live-stream the entire show…warts and all.
So, if you want to watch the entire trailer of Lords of Shadow 2 along with a host of other reveals, give the show a watch. Its host Geoff Kieghly has already hinted that old-school gaming fans will have a surprise reveal in store for them at the show, too.
