Remember when the Wii U first came out, and how someone was able to stumble across the system’s debug menu? And one discovery from this was something on the way called Yoshi’s Land?
Nintendo would end up claiming that it was a mock up, which would have also meant that the new game was also a hoax. Well, guess what; it’s indeed actually happening.
The name recently appeared again, this time in Canadian online catalogs for Best Buy and Future Shop. According to Polygon, both have Yoshi's Land available for pre-order.
The asking price is $59.99 and the estimated release date is December 31 of next year, 2013. There's even a description:
"Take Yoshi on an epic adventure to remember in Yoshi Land for Nintendo Wii U. Check out Yoshi as you've never seen him before: in glorious high definition. Enjoy dual-screen control thanks to the Wii U Touchscreen GamePad, while you'll also be able to experience full integration with Nintendo's MiiVerse service."
So, turns out, that guy with the debug menu was no faker after all. Though it still seems a bit odd for a title. It's not a whole lot different from Yoshi’s Island, or at least to an exiciting enough degree.
