Bloodtsained: The Ritual of the Night Receives E3 2017 Trailer; Showcases Boss Battle With Vampiric Mistress, Bloodless

June 9, 2017 by Jordan Biazzo

Watch the new trailer right here!

Famed developer Iga Igarashi took to his Kickstarter updates page today to release Bloodstained: The Ritual of the Night’s E3 2017 trailer.

He also took a little time to update fans on how the project has been going. A new demo will be playable at E3 this year and it will showcase the bell tower area of the map. We will also get a chance to fight in our first boss battle with the vampiric mistress, Bloodless.

Check out both the new E3 trailer and Iga’s update down below:

Hello again! This is IGA.

We will be bringing a new playable demo to this year’s E3. What you see here is part of the church stage, where you will be able to play the bell tower area of the map—it’s a very nostalgic theme. The boss that awaits the player is a vampiric mistress, Bloodless, whose appearance might be altered in the future.

After the long lines we experienced at last year’s E3, we made the play-time shorter and the difficulty level higher this time around. This is our first chance to implement many of the improvements we made to the gameplay based on what confused those original players. We also prepared Familiar shards in this demo.

In the trailer, we’ve added areas from the stages we’ve shown previously to demonstrate new visual changes to improve the gameplay experience. We will be picking up our development pace from here, but this is what our current development looks like.

Thank you for your continued support!

In recent news, Bloodstained: The Ritual of the Night has been announced for the Nintendo Switch. Iga and the team apologize for the cancellation on the Wii U console, however, hope that they can make it up by developing the game on Switch instead. Read more about that right here.

Bloodstained: The Ritual of the Night is scheduled to release in 2018.
