Far from just port Tekken Tag Tournament 2 over to the Wii U without bothering to make any changes, Namco Bandai has honoured the console by infusing the game with familiar Nintendo outfits and even items, to hilarious ends. Wondered what Smash Bros. would be like if Mario and Luigi had a proper, full-on fist fight rather than hitting each other with flowers and paper fans? Wanted to dress Kuma the bear up as Princess Peach? Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition wants to give you all this and more.
The important thing is that the outfits won't get in the way of the traditional combat in the main modes of the game, so hardcore players can rest assured that their play won't be affected. But there are a few extra features too. In Mushroom Battle mode, some of the mushrooms from the Mario universe will appear in the arena, with the appropriate effects, so you might end up with characters changing in size. And, of course, you'll have the option to use touch controls on the Wii U GamePad.
Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has been out since September for the PS3 and Xbox 360, and is a launch title for the Wii U, so it should already be available in the US, and will come to the UK on November 30th.
