Evangelion isn't a videogame, but I could care less about that fact given that the series has served as a primary influence to countless of them.
The opening for Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo has surfaced on the internet ahead of the movie's release in Japanese theaters at midnight tonight. It's been in the works since the release of Evangelion 2.22 awhile back, and both 1.11 and 2.22 were both shown on Nippon Television Network ahead of 3.0's big screen debut.
As one of the most well-known, and well-regarded anime ever made, calling Evangelion 3.0 "kind of a big deal" would be a complete understatement. The first six minutes were aired during the broadcast of 2.22 earlier today as a small taste of the whole movie.
You can watch it above.
There's no word on when (if ever) the movie will make its way overseas, but if it's anything like the first two movies, it'll undoubtedly be shown in art theaters. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding a viewing if you live in a big city like Singapore—which is where I saw the first two.
