Originally scheduled for release this Summer, Finding Paradise has been delayed until late 2017. Currently in development by Freebird Games, Finding Paradise is follow-up to the emotional 2011 RPG To The Moon, and has been in development since 2012. It will be set in the same universe as To The Moon, and include some familiar faces, but the main game will be played from the perspective of a new patient entirely.
As for why Finding Paradise was delayed, Freebird Games has cited “personal circumstances”. It maintains that the decision to push back its release is to “ensure quality” and reassures fans that “the game has been making good and steady ground”. A demo will be distributed to internal testers over the next week, and the next demo beyond that is apparently the final game, so we know it’s very close to release regardless of the delay.
Between the two games, Freebird Games’ Kan Gao released A Bird Story, a short, interactive experience that was designed to bridge the gap.
Finding Paradise is expected to release during Q4 2017 for PC, Mac and Linux.
