Nintendo may not have any plans to create DLC for the new Animal Crossing, with the company’s boss Satoru Iwata citing the “unwholesome” nature of DLC for that type of game.
However, it would appear that the studio has no qualms with DLC in general, as the studio has revealed today that it has plans to develop DLC for New Super Mario Bros. U on the Wii U.
The Official Nintendo Magazine reports that the game's producer Takashi Tekuza says that the team is currently developing additional courses for the game, with the caveat that the content is still a long way off from being released.
"We're trying to think of ways of play that are different from New Super Mario Bros. 2, but we haven't made anything yet," he said.
It remains to be seen whether the content will be released for free or whether Nintendo intends to be as other publishers and make a profit off of it.
