In addition to the trailer and release date, we also managed to learn a little bit about the protagonist and some key characters. Let’s start off with our protagonist, which is said by Ubisoft to be a junior deputy police officer in the Hope County, Montana district.
You will come across the cult that has been teased over the past couple of days, which will be called Project at Eden’s Gate. Their goal is to stage a coup as “The Father”, Joseph Seed – the main antagonist- believes that “The Collapse” is near.
Players will have to join forces with the residents to create a resistance and shut down “The Father” and his cult from overrunning the County. Gamers will be quite familiar with the title as Ubisoft is keeping core gameplay mechanics the same – drive ATVs, trucks, and cars; pick up a various amount of weapons; and even fly airplanes.
With the premise of the game set, Ubisoft plans to show more of the game at this year’s E3. However, in the meantime, we have received an additional three trailers showcasing some of the key characters in the game – Mary May, Nick Rye, and Pastor Jerome all of which is part of your Resistance.
