We brought you guys lots of rumors back in September talking about the next Borderlands 2 DLC. It was deduced from numerous resumes and other information that the DLC would be one that was produced by an outside company.
It was also deduced that it would have something to do with one of the weapons manufacturers in Borderlands, named Torgue. Since then trophy info has been leaked, and it was all but confirmed by Gearbox.
Finally, Gearbox has confirmed the DLC called Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage and has released a picture along with the title. The caption for the picture says “ON PANDORA SETTIN UP MY CAMPAIGN OF CARNAGE HERE’S A PICTURE OF ME THROWIN UP THE HORNS LIKE A BADASS #BADASSITUDE” and has changed Gaige’s Twitter @ECHOcasts into Mr. Torgue’s. Storyline-wise, Torgue hacked into it and took control.
Just about all of the tweets for Mr. Torgue are in capitals, you can distinguish them from Gaige’s old ones pretty well. Expect plenty of cursing and talk of explosions if you decide to follow the account. It is possible Gearbox will be following the same marketing strategy of releasing regular ECHOblogs, but to be honest, I can’t see this character doing so. No other information has been announced at this time, but we’ll keep you up to date as we receive information.
