Shock Tactics Launches April 11th On Steam

Thanks to a press release, we’re finding out that Shock Tactics is officially launching on the PC platform through Steam this April 11, 2017. The video game comes from indie developers Point Blank Games while being published by EuroVideo Medien.

If you’re not familiar with the title, this is a strategy RPG turn-based video game where players take on the role of a Free Space Pioneer. Essentially, players take on the role of a mercenary tasked with recovering resources from a newly found alien planet.

However, you quickly find yourself against a slew of other resource hungry forces which include pirates, alien creatures, and troops from the Imperial Consortium. The title offers similar XCOM game mechanics which may make for a perfect strategy RPG title for fans of the franchise.

As mentioned, Shock Tactics will be available April 11, 2017, through Steam though if you prefer something a bit more tangible then it’s worth knowing that a physical release is slated to launch at a later date.
