Super Mario Run: Don’t Miss These Holiday Items | Limited Time Only

December 19, 2016 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On iOS: Decorate your kingdom in Super Mario Run with the first content drop. Don’t miss out on these holiday themed items, only available until 1/4/17.

Super Mario Run has received its first update in the form of a limited-time only holiday item pack, complete with snow globe and Christmas Tree. These free items are available for everyone until January, 4rth 2017. Even Super Mario Run wants to get in on the festive action, along with tons of other awesome games this holiday season. Check out what these three items can do for you in the quick explanation below.

If you’re hungry for tinsel, tree decorations, and that winter-y atmosphere we all crave during the holiday season, check out Gameranx’s list of recent games with seasonal events, updates and add-ons available right now.

Holiday / Xmas Bonus Items

The three holiday-themed bonus items are available to anyone that purchases the full version of Super Mario Run and logs in before 1/4/17. Once these items are unlocked, they’re available to use all-year-round.

All three new items are available through the My Kingdom Shop.

  • Sparkly Christmas Tree [Building]
    • Cost: 1500 Gold Coins
    • Description: A sparkly fir tree decorated to celebrate the Christmas season.
  • Sparkly Snow Globe [Building]
    • Cost: 2000 Gold Coins
    • Description: A round globe packed with snow. If you touch it, the snow will flutter around.
  • Poinsettia [Decoration]
    • Cost: 500 Gold Coins
    • Description: Poinsettia, deep red in color, that do their best to bloom in the cold.

The Sparkly Christmas Tree is so large, it can only be placed in the center (large patch on the southern edge) of your Kingdom. The Snow Globe is in the same boat — you’ll have to decide which decoration to put on display! You can only put out the Snow Globe of the Christmas Tree, never both at the same time.

Touching the Snow Globe does exactly what it says; snow will flutter around, just like a real ornament! That puts the Sparkly Snow Globe slightly above the Sparkly Christmas Tree for us. Interactive always beats static, right?
