There’s one final quest waiting at the very end of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. After finishing all the quests in every other region, one final job will appear on the Costa Del Sol Community Board. That quest is ‘Can’t Stop Won’t Stop‘ — given by a Shinra employee in the Gold Saucer. He’s gone wild and set new high score on multiple minigames all over the Saucer. If you want to beat him (and this quest) you’ll need to overcome an impressive series of high-level challenges. You’ll need to beat new challenges in Battle Square, Chocobo Races and more. And yes, they’re all incredibly tough. To help you finally beat the biggest challenge in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, here’s what you need to know.
Musclehead Coliseum – UPA Challenge
This is the most difficult UPA Challenge by far. You’ll need to be Level 50 or higher before attempting these battles. The higher level you are, the easier these battles will be.
- Equip the Karmic Cowl or Safety Bit to prevent Instant Death from the second battle. The Safety Bit Transmutation recipe can be unlocked in the Cosmo Canyon Region. Complete Excavation Intel 2 to earn it.
I recommend equipping at least two characters with Safety Bit. You’ll also need two Revival Materia equipped — and be prepared to dodge the Tonberries often. After defeating the Tonberries, the rest of the battles are much easier. Still incredibly annoying, but not nearly as awful as the Tonberry fight.
Chocobo Races – UPA Challenge
Equip the Hyperion Set to the Yellow Chocobo for the most speed boosts. Unlock this set by completing all the Grade 2 races.
- Press [X] when the countdown reaches “2” for a starting speed boost. This gives you a huge boost at the start of the race.
- Save your Yellow Boost Charges for the doors. If you take the corners well, even if you hit one of the doors, just wait for the door to open then boost to regain your speed.
-If you equip the Hyperion Set, you’ll get a huge speed boost in the third lap. The biggest challenge in this race are the doors. Watch them carefully. If doors have been closed for a while, they’re very likely to open. You can also bypass one set of doors near the end by going around the entire section of the track, but I recommend just going for the doors.
Galactic Saviors – UPA Challenge
You must complete an Expert Run with 50,000 points to complete this challenge.
- This is the easiest challenge to complete. Use your Proton Bombs as soon as you get them to destroy every enemy that appears on screen. Continue to destroy enemies quickly, mopping up every squadron, until you reach the Mothership. Destroy this quickly and you should have about 45,000 points.
By saving healing charges and completing quickly, you’ll earn bonuses that should put you far above the required 50,000 points. As long as you survive an Expert Run and destroy everything before it leaves the screen, you’ll complete this challenge. You can ignore the random enemies that appear during the final boss. Those are not required.
G-Racer – UPA Challenge
Find this challenge in Wonderment Square. You must earn 32,000 points on Expert Difficulty to beat the UPA’s high score.
- Another tricky challenge. To win this one, you’ll need to collect as many power-ups as possible while racing and destroy as many enemies as you can. Save your powerful sword swing attack for when large groups of enemies cluster ahead of you, and search for healing bonus points.
Press [L2] to give yourself more control of your bike and turn to collect all the coin-shaped points as you can. Avoid taking damage as much as possible, collect power-ups, and destroy enemies. Do it well and you’ll win this one. It may require some practice.
Queen’s Blood – UPA Challenge
The card challenge is found in Wonderment Square. You must complete the G-Racer challenge to unlock this challenge.
- To complete this challenge, I highly recommend you get far in the Queen’s Blood quest — or unlock some of the best cards in the Gold Saucer. Using GP, you can purchase the Dio Card, Chocobo Jockey and Space Ranger. These are all very helpful.
- By progressing the Queen’s Blood quest, you’ll also unlock the Maloceros Card. This is another incredibly useful card that can win a match all by itself. The Maloceros Card gives +10 score for winning a lane.
In this match, the Ultimate Party Animal card is automatically deployed. Basically, this card causes the winner of a lane to also collect the losing side’s score. To make sure you win, win at least two lanes. If you lose a lane — or it looks like you’re about to lose a lane — make sure to use low score cards. That way your opponent won’t increase their score even more.
3D Brawler – UPA Challenge
Complete all other UPA Challenges to unlock the final challenge. In this 3D Brawler fight, your opponent will use any of the six punch directions, making this challenge extremely difficult. Before attempting this challenge, you’ll want to defeat the other five opponents in 3D Brawler as practice.
- To learn the Shinra Manager’s moves, try pausing mid-attack. You can get a better look at the poses — watch the animation briefly, pause, and try to learn what type of guard you need. This is the best way we used to practice.
- During his attack rush, he’ll always follow the same series of attacks. He’ll attack in this series: down, up, right, up. Later, he’ll do a left-handed attack series, but most often he uses this sequence. Learn it and you’ll gain a free hit after every power-up.
Complete the final challenge and you’ll earn the unique Gambler Materia. This materia uses a random magic attack from your entire party. At max level, this material lowers the MP cost by 50%.
You’ll also unlock the final opponent in the 3D Brawler game. If you defeat the other five opponents, you’ll be able to take on Sephiroth in an extremely difficult final battle.
