#3 Code Hero
Code Hero was a video game that aimed to teach players how to create their own video games. The Kickstarter came out promising consumers a way to learn how to create video games in a fun innovative way and it worked as the campaign was able to reach its goal with $170,000 pledged. Apparently the development team behind the game ran out of funds and the last update came from the project coordinator which stated that he was leaving the project. This update was posted in April of 2014 so it’s pretty safe to say that this game is dead. We’re curious as to what this means for backers who have pledged money for the game development and release. Regardless, Code Hero seemed like an interesting idea to craft gamers into potentially indie developers.
