Top 5 Cancelled Kickstarter Video Games

January 4, 2016 by Dennis Patrick

Sometimes, Kickstarter just doesn’t work out.

#4 Grip

Grip was a video game that Caged Element brought to Kickstarter in hopes that they could gain a goal of $657,000 CAD but instead only received a pledge amount of about $153,000. Developers described Grip as a combat racer with ferocious speeds and heavy weapons. Visually the game looked incredible and showed some real promise if developers were able to successfully fund the campaign but, unfortunately, the developers couldn’t reach their intended goal thus they had to pull the plug reluctantly.

Even though the game has been shelved for development, Caged Element still has one more trick up their sleeves in hopes to fully develop Grip. Caged Element has revealed that they are going ahead and releasing their Early Access version of Grip where it will consist of one car, track, and playground map. With this release, developers hope that Grip gains momentum with players and can continue their development to release a full version of the game.
