Crafting is an integral part of a majority of survival games. In V Rising, Whetstones are a valuable resource to have as you embark on your vampire journey. They are used to craft more advanced weapons and items. This handy guide will show you how to obtain the Whetstones you need to continue making upgrades.
Early on in V Rising the best way to get Whetstones is by visiting Bandit camps. When you open up your map, these appear as yellow circles. Hovering over them with your mouse will allow you to see what materials you can obtain from visiting that Bandit camp. As you scan the Bandit camps in Farbane Woods, you will spot one that contains Whetstones. Upon arrival, you will be greeted with Bandits trying to defend their territory. Taking them down can result in them dropping Whetstones. However, if you search chests and destroy barrels and crates, there is a chance you will find some extra Whetstones hidden inside.
How to craft Whetstones in V Rising
You can craft Whetstones in V Rising once you get your hands on the recipe. In order to do so, you need to make it to at least level 27 where you will need to defeat Grayson the Armourer, a level 27 boss. Once you unlock the recipe, you will need to place a Copper Ingot and 12 Stone Dust in your Furnace to craft one Whetstone. Ironically, you obtain Stone Dust by putting regular Stone through a Grinder, but Whetstones are needed for you to be able to build a Grinder. Therefore, make sure you are showing those Bandits who’s the boss and take as many of their Whetstones as you can.
