Can You Play Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Offline?

March 21, 2022 by Dani Cook

Will Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands require an internet connection?

Borderlands fans are in the home stretch for the release of Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. There are only a few short days before the first-person shooter officially launches and as expected, excited gamers are asking a few questions such as, will the game be playable offline? The Borderlands franchise is known for its focus on multiplayer gameplay, meaning most people will want to play online with friends. Although, a good portion of people with maybe not the fastest internet connection wants the option to play offline via local play with friends, or on their own.

Previous Borderlands games have all supported local co-op, with online play being merely optional. Since the franchise released the first Borderlands game in 2009 and all the way up to 2019’s Borderlands 3, the series has offered offline mode to players. That being said, will Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands likewise be accessible offline? Let’s find out!

Is Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands playable offline?

According to both the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will certainly offer an offline mode. Both stores state that online play is “optional” This of course should mean the PC version of the game will be playable offline as well. The action RPG will not only allow players to enjoy the game offline when playing solo but also when playing in multiplayer. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands lets players enjoy the game offline with friends in local co-op. So don’t worry about enjoying the upcoming game if that pesky internet connection is a problem. As long as you’re playing on your own or your friends are nearby, playing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands offline will be just as enjoyable as online.

Developed by Gearbox Software, this first-person shooter is a successor to the Borderlands 2 expansion, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. Check out Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on March 25.
