Developer: Rusty Lake
Publisher: Rusty Lake

Release: November 02, 2022
Rusty Lake released another puzzle game for players to work through. In this game, players take the role of Albert Vanderboom’s daughter. When Albert Vanderboom dies, his daughter Rose carries out his final wish, a plan to resurrect him from the dead. This is done through working both in the past and future. With that said, this game is only played as a co-op experience. That means you’ll need a secondary player with a copy of the game. If you’re familiar with Rusty Lake, then you know that this will be a puzzle game. Since these puzzles are solved by passing along information, you’ll need to have a constant means of contact with your secondary player.
#13 The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil In Me

Publisher: Bandai Namco Entertainment

Release: November 18, 2022.
The Dark Pictures Anthology has been a huge hit; chances are you’re already well aware of this series. We know that Supermassive Games has wrapped up the first season and are working on a season two. The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil In Me was the final game for the first season and played out much like the past games. This is more of a cinematic experience where players make a series of choices to progress the story. In this particular installment, players follow a group of filmmakers who get invited to a replica of H.H. Holmes’s Murder Castle. Using this opportunity to film a documentary, the individuals quickly find themselves stuck in this home where a new serial killer seeks to kill each member. Players can split the group of characters and choose their actions, which could have grave consequences.
#12 The Quarry
Developer: Supermassive Games
Publisher: 2K Games
Platform: PC PS4 PS5 Xbox One XSX|S
Release date: June 20, 2022
Horror games are infamous for focusing on the gore and violence of the genre versus delivering true scares. But with The Quarry, Supermassive Games dives into nostalgia to give you an “80s horror film” style of game. The best part? It works!
True to 80s form, you’ll play counselors from a camp that get stuck at their campsite for one extra day. Unfortunately, that proves to be a disastrous move, as various forces descend upon them and the grounds, leading to one horrifying experience after another.
As you play these counselors, you’ll learn the truth of the area and try to keep them alive when things go wrong. With numerous endings, the game bends to your decisions. So choose wisely.

#10 Space Beast Terror Fright
- Release date: June 4, 2022
- Developer: Nornware AB
- Publisher: Nornware AB
- Platform: Microsoft Windows
Sometimes true terror is knowing that something is out there, waiting for you, and you just don’t know where.
Space Beast Terror Fright tries to mimic that feeling in its own way, as you’ll play as a bunch of space marines who have gone on a mission to get key data and upgrades from ships that are infested with monsters. You only win if you make it out alive, and with the winding maze that every new level brings, getting out is easier said than done.
This arcade-style shooter is meant to be hard, and scary, so you best be prepared to bring your A-game, else you won’t make it out alive.
#9 Golden Light
- Release date: March 11, 2022
- Developer: Mr. Pink
- Platform: Microsoft Windows
- Publishers: Mr. Pink, HypeTrain Digital
Golden Light is what you might call…a parody of horror games, while still being a horror game. You see, in the title you’ll have the “typical horror storyline” of going into a place to try and save your loved one. But the things that are attacking you are both monstrous and yet…not exactly monstrous. You’re going to get attacked by props. Yes, really.
The “dark comedy” of the game doesn’t make it less terrifying, but it does make it a bit more…odd. And with procedural generation on multiple levels, you’ll see just how crazy this game can get the longer that you play it.
Enjoy! …or don’t.

All the while, knowing that there are dangers all around you, and you’ll have to learn their ins and outs so you can keep them at bay, and not put yourself in more danger.
The puzzle elements will have you collecting items and learning more about the rooms, all the while helping players in their own rooms.
Will you be able to escape?

- Developer: TMG Studios B.V.
- Publisher: TMG Studios B.V.

- Release Date: Q2 2022
Well if that doesn’t sound like a horror title, we don’t know what does. Believe it or not, We Were Here Forever is actually the fourth game in a line of them. We Were Here, We Were Here Too, and We Were Here Together started this “Castle Rock Journey” and this one continues it. But, don’t fear (pun intended), you don’t have to play the others to play this one as each is its own adventure.
You and your friends will be taken to Castle Rock, but how you got there is a complete mystery. What isn’t a mystery is that there are “ancient forces” after you and you must survive the experience in order to make it out and find out the truth. If you want to find out the truth that is.

By working with your friends, you’ll be able to search the premises and ensure that you got a lot of info before you try and get rid of the ghost.
