#6 Darksburg
Darksburg hasn’t been a title we’ve seen too many make mention about online. It’s a cooperative action game where these medieval towns are flooded by infected zombie-like monsters. Players take the role of a hero and help rid these towns from the infected, but luckily you won’t have to do the job alone. As mentioned, this cooperative game will give players the ability to play online with friends. There’s an assortment of heroes to pick from as well and each that will bring their own unique attribute or skill set that should hopefully complement the other heroes in your party.
It’s also a procedurally generated adventure which means that each time you play the game there will be a new city and loot for players to pick up. As a result, you won’t play the same game twice. The game is currently available to pick up through Early Access on Steam, although we’re not entirely sure just when the full game launches. Still, if this title looks like something you’d be interested in playing, the Early Access build should give you plenty of content to go through until the full title releases.
#5 The Settlers
The Settlers has been around for years. This franchise got its start back in 1993 and the next major release is actually set to be a reboot for the series. This is a real-time strategy and city-building video game. It’s all about building up a kingdom and from there managing it from enduring battles to scavenging for food. The title looks to be quite ambitious for the franchise as the development team Blue Byte offers a breath of fresh air for the series while also keeping the same attributes that made The Settlers so much fun, to begin with. So far, details on it are still scarce and we’re not entirely sure if it will make it out into the market before 2020 wraps. With no launch date set, we can only wait and see if this title releases before 2020 officially wrapped up.
