Aether (Astral Chain)
The boss fights are the true stars of Astral Chain, an original IP hardcore action game produced by Platinum Games for the Nintendo Switch. The Aether boss is a fight you can tackle after completing the story, returning to an earlier chapter when you reload to power-up your sci-fi cop character. Homonculus Alpha is tough, but it’s the Aether boss you’ll struggle the most against. This massive special monster doesn’t mess around, and you’ll have to go far in a difficult bonus mode to encounter it.
Jevil (Deltarune: Chapter 1)
Deltarune: Chapter 1 isn’t exactly a full game, but it does feature one massive secret. Unlike the original Undertale, Deltarune is a linear story that doesn’t branch out. You can’t kill or go down a special evil route — so if you’re looking to fight insanely difficult opponents, you just have to find them in hidden areas. Jevil is the extremely difficult boss of Deltarune — a weird circus creature that rivals Sans in difficulty. Only the bravest need apply against this guy.
