Zelda: Breath of the Wild – How To Solve All Shrines | Central Walkthrough

March 29, 2017 by Kevin Thielenhaus

On WiiU & Switch: Save these shrines for last, because the Central region isn’t so easy to explore. When you’re ready, here are all the puzzle solutions.

Table of Contents – Central Shrines

  • Rota Ooh Shrine
  • Dah Kaso Shrine
  • Kaam Ya’tak Shrine
  • Wahgo Katta Shrine
  • Katah Chuki Shrine
  • Noya Neha Shrine
  • Saas Ko’sah Shrine
  • Namika Ozz Shrine

Rota Ooh Shrine – Passing of the Gates

The shrine is up the hill from the Outskirt Stable, found on the southwestern corner of the Central Tower Region. As Link enters the shrine, you’ll be immediately faced with a locked door that requires a small key.

To get the key, look to the right of the locked door. There’s a pointer switch — shoot it once to transition the entire room and reveal an ancient orb. Grab the orb and take it back near the entrance, then shoot the pointer switch with another arrow.

Next, toss the ancient orb into the “cup” to the right of the locked door, just beneath the switch. When the orb is safely in that bucket, shoot the switch yet again to drop the ancient orb into the glowing input pad. It should roll into the center and deactivate the stone blocking the path to the chest on the left side of the room.

Once the input pad “altar” is activated, a push block will activate in the center. Enter the left path and collect the treasure chest to get the small key. Use the small key on the locked door (you’ll need to lower the door again with the switch) and then reorient the door so it faces up again.

  • Optional Chest: After activating the push block and unlocking the gate, use the block to launch Link up through the door and use the glider to reach this metal chest on a high platform at the back of the room.

Stand on the push block to launch upward through the unlocked door. While gliding down, use an arrow to shoot the switch again, then use the glider again to gently land. Now Link can access the altar.
