Housemarque Announces Nex Machina for Steam; New Trailer Released

March 14, 2017 by Jordan Biazzo

PC players rejoice!

Housemarque has announced today, that the recently revealed Sony exclusive — Nex Machina, will be making its way to PC. Housemarque, known for plenty of games, but most recently Resogun and Alienation, have been predominantly a PlayStation developer.

However, that changes today as the company will bringing Nex Machina to PC. This will be their first title in 18 years developed for the PC, last title being Supreme Snowboarding in 1999. The game, like usual Housemarque fashion, will be a fast-paced, twin-stick shooter.

Check out the PC announcement trailer down below:

From the collaboration between Housemarque (Resogun, Alienation, Matterfall), and Robotron and Smash TV legendary creator Eugene Jarvis comes Nex Machina, an explosive arcade experience created with competition in mind.

“We are very excited to announce that Nex Machina will be coming to PC! This is our first PC game launch since Supreme Snowboarding in 1999 (Outland is on Steam, but was ported 3 years after the console release) so it has been a long time coming.”

“It’s amazing and humbling to be able to get back to our roots in PC development, where we started almost 22 years ago”, said Ilari Kuittinen, CEO of Housemarque.

Nex Machina is still without a release date, however, the developers have noted to expect more news in the days and weeks before launch as they still have a few things unannounced for the game.

Nex Machina is set to release on PS4 and PC.
