TGS: Okami HD has a Release Date and New Trailer

September 20, 2012 by Jeanine Celestin-Greer

The high definition version of Okami is coming to PSN soon

Okami HD's release date for the PlayStation Network was announced today at the Tokyo Game Show. It will release October 30 at $20 dollars on the PSN. The game supports 1080p to see all of Okami's gorgeous artwork in 1920 x 1080 resolution. The game also now works with PlayStation Move for those who have it and includes trophies.

Okami is loosely based off of several of the Japanese myths about Amaterasu, who uses a Celestial Brush in the game to interact with most of the world. Okami was one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2006 and was also noted for its innovative gameplay and beautiful sumi-e art style visuals.

You can check out the new trailer that was released along with the news below. (Warning: the trailer does have some spoilers.)
