Arkane Studios has released the fourth and final part of its developer documentary video series for Dishonored and it's aptly titled, "End Game."
We once again see the developers talk about their first-person action game, but this time, it's not to showcase Corov's powers, or marvel at the game's environments. Now the team reflects on the journey they had in taking Dishonored from its early conceptual stage, to a full-fledged game that's set to hit shelves in less than a month.
The game's co-creative directors, Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio state that Dishonored can now be played from start to finish. This is where the team gets its most meaningful feedback and the proper tweaks the game gets before being in a final state.
If you haven't watched any of Dishonored's gameplay videos, the developers have essentially crafted it in a way that lets the player tackle the game their own way. Yes, the game puts a heavy emphasis on stealth, but you can also come out of the shadows and attack enemies haphazardly using your powers.
Arkane talks about this a lot and with good reason, too. There are far too many corridor shooters out these days and Dishonored looks to avoid that pitfall.
Will they succeed? We'll know for sure once Dishonored hits store shelves on October 9 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
