Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will have day and night cycles in the game itself.
In a quick chat with Eurogamer, Metal Gear creatore Hideo Kojima divulged that Ground Zeroes' inclusion of day and night cycles is something that will boost replayability and added players will see the differences throughout the world depending on the time of day. One example of this are in enemy troops patterns.
Kojima also confirmed that the game will contain load screens as players sneak within its open world. However, it wasn't specified if this means screens will pop up whenever players move into different "zones," going indoors, loading per section of the open world area or if it will be one long load screen to load the entire game (like what Naughty Dog does with the Uncharted series).
Of course, loading screen themselves are to be expected. It is from a disc-based medium after all. What I hope won't happen is we see a loading screen every few minutes as that would seriously break the game's immersion.
For now, though, we're left in the dark; but we do know Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is being built on Kojima Productions' FOX Engine and is being built for a current-gen release at a yet unspecified date.
In your opinion, how would you want loading screens to work in Ground Zeroes in a way that it won't annoy gamers?
