Nintendo recently held their live presentation going over their next big console release, the Nintendo Switch. This console was met with details regarding the control system, launch date, and a price point. However, there were a number of video game titles shown off as well including the highly anticipated video game release, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Closing out the event, a new trailer was shown off for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, one that ended with its official release date, March 3, 2017. This will be one of the video game titles to launch alongside the Nintendo Switch, but there were some gamers concerned as to if the title would also release for the Nintendo Wii U.
Being the presentation was to highlight the Nintendo Switch and hype up the console release, the company was quiet about their previous console generation, the Nintendo Wii U. Although, later on Twitter, Nintendo of America confirmed to their followers that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will also release on the Nintendo Wii U on March 3, 2017.

This being one of the more anticipated video game releases from Nintendo this year, we imagine the title will sell well for both consoles. Furthermore, in a past E3 Treehouse presentation video, series producer Eiji Aonuma revealed that the upcoming video game release will contain the same experience regardless if players pick up a Wii U or the Nintendo Switch copy.
