Everyone was led to believe that the end of the adventure was with Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but the folks at CD Projekt Red saw that the gaming community reveled in the side activity that was Gwent – an in-game card game. Back at E3 this past year, the development team finally answered the call. We were getting a full fledged Gwent game. Next week, the closed beta for it finally rolls out.
The standalone Gwent experience isn’t just a carbon copy of the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt version, and returning players will find a series of visual changes made for it. Starting at 7PM CEST, the first wave of invitations heads out. They’re planning more than one wave of invitations, so don’t freak out. Sign-ups for the beta will still be open after it goes live, so if you’re interested in trying the game out you can still enroll to do so. On Monday the 24th, the CD Projekt Red Twitch channel is doing a livestream of the game with the developers, where they’ll be talking about the features of the game in greater detail.
