Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide (a game with a way too long title) is expanding today with the release of an all new update that changes the way the whole item system works, fixing one of the worst aspects of the game.
In short, it’s really hard to get any good items unless you play the game for an inordinate amount of time. And with so many great games available, who’s got the time to sink hundreds of hours into a single game? To that end, developer Fatshark has added two new systems to provide players with alternative means of getting loot besides depending on the RNG system to provide it for them.
Now, you can reforge multiple weapons of the same class for a single, better weapon. So if you have a ton of useless crap lying around, reforging them into an upgrade is going to be an option now available to you.
Another new system being added to the game is the Quests & Contracts system, which lets you partake in side missions with specific objectives with certain loot as rewards. Think of them as optional tasks you’ll have to accomplish during regular missions.
