When it comes to the overall mood of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series of video games, there’s the consistent theme of scary and frightening secrets behind the happy mechanized smiles of the animatronic creatures. The creator behind these horror game experiences is Scott Cawthon, and his newest Sister Location game is the return to usual form after the Five Nights at Freddy’s World spin-off released in January of this year. We’re headed to Circus Baby’s Pizza World, an establishment in a similar vein to the Freddy Fazbear Pizzerias of the past.
But the master of spooks recently expressed some doubts with the direction of his upcoming title, saying that Sister Location might not be released at all. Could this recent Steam post be genuine, or is Scott trying to generate some pre-release buzz?
Hey guys, I wanted to post an announcement that this game might be postponed, and I’m not really sure when it would be released.
There are certain plot elements that are very dark, to the point where I sometimes feel sick. There would be no easy fix to this. I either release it Friday as it is, or I delay it by several months to completely rework the plot into something kid-friendly.
I’m unsure what I’m going to do. As always, thanks for your support.
Assuming everything goes according to plan, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location will release on October 7th 2016 for PC and also make it’s way to mobile devices. To learn more about the game, the best place to check out is the subreddit.
