In the game, players take on the role of an average Joe named Ethan who finds himself wandering around a mansion in search of his missing wife. It’s set in the same universe as the previous Resident Evil games, so players can expect to find references to characters from the previous titles, although there will not be any elements of all-out destruction and action movie-ness as RE6.
