Veteran Japanese actor and director Takeshi Kitano can be seen throwing a baby through the air in the latest trailer for the upcoming Ryu Ga Gotoku 6 or Yakuza 6. Takeshi Kitano, better known as Beat Takeshi, and star of many Japanese gangster movies (as well as more than a few Western films, including the upcoming Ghost in the Shell) can be seen alongside other famous Japanese actors.
The trailer was released during the Tokyo Game Show this week.
Fan site YakuzaFan managed to provide context for the scene, stating that the baby belongs to Haruko, the young girl who grew into a young woman over the course of the series. After she’s knocked unconscious and forced into a medically induced coma after a hit-and-run, the game’s protagonist Kazuma Kiryu goes out in search of the child’s father.
The game is currently slated for release later this year on the PS4 for Japanese audiences. It has not been confirmed for release in the West as of yet.
