Destiny will not be among the games to receive a patch for the PlayStation 4 Pro version when the console launches in November, though it has not been ruled out for the future.
Bungie staffers laid out their plans in a roundtable interview which Gamespot attended. The developer is “looking at” support for the PS4 Pro, but it might not be for a while.
The exchange went as follows:
Question: “Are you planning on any support for PS4 Pro?”
Bungie: “No, not for Rise of Iron. We’re all done. As far as the future… We have nothing to announce today, but we’ll certainly be looking at it.”
Though it sounds like Destiny will not receive a PS4 Pro Patch right away, other Activision games will.
The PlayStation Meeting announced that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Modern Warfare Remastered, and Call of Duty: Black Ops III are all being patched to utilize the console’s extra horsepower. It does remain unknown what the specific benefits will be, however.
